You know... Either God is answering my prayers or the MCC staff is taking my words seriously, either way, I am delighted to announce that today's khutbah was pretty much completely good. Wow... Never thought I would say that about MCC. It is the season for miracles after all. Not Muslim miracles, Christian miracles, but miracles nonetheless.

Salam fellow Chicagoans (and everyone else). So... for some reason, the MCC Web Administrators don't like to update their site with the Jummah prayer timings, that's a bad thing. You guys should update it, people can show up at 2pm thinking there is a Jummah prayer going on, haha, fortunately, that didn't happen to me, so we good... For now.

Let's jump right into the khutbah, shall we?

I went to IFS for Jummah today, I had been meaning to do this a long time ago, but never had the opportunity until today. You see, IFS and I go back a ways, but not as far back as MCC and MEC and I go. Oh, if only they knew...

Anyway, I have to say, I was expecting a nonsensical khutbah of similar quality to those of MCC, but... God is good and He gave me a break and let me listen to something actually worth listening to.

I returned to the ICC basement mosque for another khutbah today. I will start off by saying that it was for the most part a very good khutbah, there was one thing I didn't agree with, not because that is my actual opinion but because the khateeb didn't back up what he said appropriately and basically insulted the jama'at's intelligence (indirectly of course).

Today's khutbah was the best khutbah I have EVER heard at UIC, I have been attending Jummahs here for 3 years now. The khutbah was given by Shaykh Yahya Rhodus.
